The United States and Vietnam have finalized a significant trade agreement, establishing new tariff rates on various goods.
This agreement, announced by President Trump, sets a 20% tariff on Vietnamese exports, significantly lower than the initially proposed 46%.
Importantly, the deal includes provisions addressing trans-shipment of goods from third countries, imposing a 40% tariff on such practices.
Beyond tariffs, the agreement promises increased market access for US exporters, particularly benefiting large-engine vehicle manufacturers.
